How much does a bookkeeper cost in Saint John? Pricing depends on how many transactions you have and what you need each month. Rather than charge by the hour, I work on clear monthly packages so you always know your cost up front with no surprise invoices. Book a quick call and I’ll give you a straight number.

Do I need a bookkeeper or an accountant? They do different jobs. A bookkeeper (me) keeps your day-to-day records accurate all year. Think transactions, reconciliations, HST, reporting. An accountant typically handles year-end and corporate tax filings. The best setup is both, working together: I keep your books clean so your accountant’s job is fast and inexpensive.

Can you work with my business remotely? Yes, almost all of my work is done remotely. You get the same (often better) service without anyone having to drive a folder anywhere. I’m based in Saint John, so we can also meet in person when it makes sense.

My books are a mess / I’m behind. Can you still help? Absolutely, and you’re far from alone. Catch-up and cleanup work is one of the most common things I do. We start wherever you are and get your books current and accurate — no judgment.

What software do you use? I work primarily in QuickBooks Online and I’m an Advanced Certified ProAdvisor. If you’re on another platform, we can talk about whether a switch makes sense, but I’ll never push you into something you don’t need.

Do you handle HST in New Brunswick? Yes. New Brunswick uses a 15% HST, and I make sure it’s tracked correctly throughout the year so filing is accurate and on time instead of a year-end scramble.
